New Guidelines to Protect Children from Severe Allergic Reactions in Schools and Childcare

The National Allergy Strategy has just announced the release of Best practice guidelines for anaphylaxis prevention and management in schools and children’s education and care services. The Guidelines have been developed through extensive consultation with key stakeholder organisations, staff working in schools and childcare services, and parents/guardians of children attending schools and services. They have been developed to provide consistent, evidence-based, best practice guidance for staff in school and services, and parents. The childcare services specific version of the guidelines can be accessed on the Allergy Aware website.
