Under section 270(5), National Law, State/Territory Regulatory Authorities may publish information about enforcement action taken against approved providers, services, nominated supervisors and family day care educators, relating to breaches of the National Law and Regulations. Enforcement action ranges from compliance notices to prosecutions (see Australian Childcare Regulation, pp.101-103, for further details). However, such information can be difficult to find on the various State/Territory Regulatory Authority websites, so I have compiled an updated list of direct links below. Just click on the State to be taken directly to the relevant part of the website:
NSW. Information is also published on separate pages regarding Cancellations and Suspensions, Enforceable Undertakings, and Prosecutions.
Unfortunately the enforcement actions published (and the format) differs from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Some publish no information at all (ACT and NT), some only publish "serious" enforcement action (Queensland) or all enforcement actions but with just basic figures for some some actions (NSW). The remaining jurisdictions (SA, Tasmania, Victoria and WA) publish details of all enforcement actions.
