Queensland Child Safe Organisations Act 2024

The Queensland Parliament recently passed the Child Safe Organisations Bill 2024. The new legislation introduces a model for child safe standards and a reportable conduct scheme, recommendations of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. Implementation of the legislation is planned to commence from January 2025, with full operation expected by July 2027.
