South Australian Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care

The Royal Commission today published its final report. It has made 43 recommendations. Some of the recommendations that have a regulatory focus include:

• Recommendation 7: Improving the functioning of the Education Standards Board

• Recommendation 24: Early childhood teacher—qualifications

• Recommendation 30: A focus on improving services that are ‘Working Towards’ the National Quality Standard

• Recommendation 37: Ensure a fit-for-purpose regulatory approach to OSHC.
